First Day Friday for July 9th

Taft and I have been counting down the days for Kidding Around to open and it's obvious (from the gallery) that we weren't the only ones excited about this mom + kids summer adventure.

 

Look at these cute kids! This is Cambria and Breven and they are "kidding around" with their mom, Kristen, who just won ten dollars to use towards her next BPS class!

It's NOT too late to join mom and kids from all over who have committed to email challenges and summer scrapbooking dates. In fact, you can register HERE.

This week one of the assignments is to visit an ice cream parlor -- for some odd reason, I'm not encountering any resistance from Taft at all!

	Three cool activities plus accompanying page assignments each week to combat the dreaded “I’m bored” refrain.
	A priceless keepsake of your child’s summer, from their perspective.
	Quality time with your kids, sharing an activity you enjoy.
	More scrapbooking time for you, while the kids are busy making their pages.

Tuesday Tip

 

I work full time and want to spend as much time as possible with my family, so I tend to feel guilty when I duck into the back of the house to scrap by myself.  I feel like I am taking away from time with our son.  So, one way that I have learned to combat that and to get in more scrapbook time is to pull up a chair for my little boy (2 ½) at the end of my scrap table and hand him some crayons and a coloring book.  We work side by side and get in that invaluable time together, just the two of us.

Give yourself permission to kid around this summer!

“Why is the corn always sad?”

“Because everyone keeps pulling on his ears!” 

Pretty corny huh? This is one of my 7-year-old son’s favorite jokes. Sometimes we all need to take a break, and spend a little time Kidding Around.

This summer, my son and I will be Kidding Around with Tami Morrison and her kids, through this brand new e-mail based class.

If there’s a little person in your life—kid, grandkid, niece/nephew, friend—that you want to spend some special time with, then this class is for you! Through inspired interaction, fun projects, and activity suggestions, you will teach the child in your life valuable life skills, grow closer through shared interaction, and they will get to create their very own scrapbook of their summer adventures.

I have three little ones that I want to kid around with this summer. My 8 year old daughter who is a total nut sometimes is the one I think would get the most out of it. Right now she wants to be an artist when she grows up and she spends most of her time trying to tell jokes. She's my wonderful little "mini-me" with a twist whom I always wish that I could spend more time with but because I also have four year old twins I often don't have as much time as I would like to kid around with her. And then my other two, my four year old twins who are entering pre-k this year, I want to kid around with them during their last summer before becoming "big kids" and heading off to school in the fall. I know they will probably need more help with the assignments but I want to do it all the same. Especially since one of them is epileptic and needs ALOT more attention than the other two.
